OG remove Jordanian rifler ISSAA from their active CS:GO roster following a "mutual decision" between them.
OG is officially down to a roster of just 3 active CS:GO players, as they enter an "internal rebuilding phase".
Danish rifler niko could be one of the CS:GO players that might join OG's roster in the near future.

OG has taken a decision to remove the Jordanian rifler Issa "ISSAA" Murad from its active CS:GO roster, just a few weeks after benching the French player Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt. In a statement released by the organization, they stated that “ISSAA and the team have mutually decided to part ways after almost fifteen months spent together”. This is the second roster change made by OG since its inception in December 2019, following an extended dull period where the team has failed to achieve anything significant, especially since the start of the year. Earlier, the team’s captain Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen had also spoken about a few concerns associated with ISSAA as he consistently faced high ping in online tournaments.

OG removes ISSAA from active CS:GO roster

Just a few weeks after benching NBK, OG has now been officially reduced to a three-player lineup as they remove ISSAA from its active roster. The team has been clearly struggling for quite some time when it comes to top-tier competitive CS:GO, with their last significant-finish at a tournament coming in December 2019 after they secured the runners up position at Flashpoint Season 2.

“Unfortunately, the team has gone through hardship for the past few weeks and this mutual decision happened after our early exit of the ESL Pro League Season 13.”

Since then it has all been downhill for the side, and the continued string of online CS:GO tournaments has further hampered the team’s growth. ISSAA was apparently the most affected player for the side according to Aleksib, as he constantly faced high ping from his region when competing in European tournaments and it was not a sustainable way for OG to go forward.

“We would like to thank ISSAA for his unmatched commitment to the team, despite playing under such challenging circumstances from home.”

Despite the player being benched, OG has stated that they will make sure that ISSAA finds a “perfect home as soon as possible,” for which they will continue to actively work with him. ISSAA himself commented on the situation saying that he will talk about his future in the next few days.

OG also announced that they have entered a new rebuilding phase, as they have around a months time on their hand before playing their next CS:GO tournament - BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2021.

“With our next event scheduled for mid-April, OG CS:GO is now entering an internal rebuilding phase. Tryouts will occur in the next few days to find out the two missing warriors who will be wearing our colours in the forthcoming future.”

The Danish rifler Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen seems to be one of the players that OG is currently interested in. He was the stand-in for the side at the recently concluded ESL Pro League Season 13 and DreamHack Masters Spring 2021: European Qualifier.

OG’s current CS:GO roster is as follows,

  • Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen
  • Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski
  • Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså
  • Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen [Stand-In]

  • Casper "ruggah" Due [Coach]

  • Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt [benched]
  • Issa "ISSAA" Murad [Benched]
