  • Finnish CS:GO pro suNny hints at creating new CS:GO team with flusha and 3 other unnamed players.
  • Flusha is currently on Fnatic's bench while suNny's contract with ENCE expired yesterday making him a free agent.
  • Earlier, both of them along with autimatic had tried to create a CS:GO roster with an aim to compete in Europe but the project fell apart.

Robin "flusha" Ronnquist who is currently sitting on Fnatic’s bench might be eyeing a return to competitive CS:GO along with former ENCE player Miikka "suNny" Kemppi. While flusha is still under contract with Fnatic, suNny’s contract with the Finnish organization expired on 19 Feb officially making him a free agent. Earlier both of them along with retired CS:GO player Timothy "autimatic" Ta had planned on creating a CS:GO team to compete in Europe, but sadly they could not reach a deal with any organization or find sponsors. Now once again suNny along with flusha has hinted towards a “very promising project including young and also experienced players”.

Finnish esports organization ENCE ended 2020 on a very rough note following Aleksi “allu” Jalli’s controversial interview with HLTV. Multiple factors resulted in ENCE internally taking a decision to start the 2021 competitive season with a revamped CS:GO lineup.

The changes that followed were as follows,

  • SuNny’s contract was terminated upon mutual agreement between him and ENCE.

  • Tuomas “SADDYX” Louhimaa who was acquired by ENCE on 1 Jan 2021 from SJ Gaming was benched after just 3 weeks.

  • Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen was also benched following his decision to retire from competitive CS:GO and play Valorant professionally.

  • ENCE parted ways with the ESIC banned coach Slaava "Twista" Rasanen who had been with the organization since Aug 2018.

  • ENCE signed Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer, Lotan “Spinx” Giladi, and Paweł “dycha” Dycha to complete their CS:GO lineup.

Swedish legend flusha was also benched on 8 Jan earlier this year due to Fnatic’s poor performance through 2020. He was replaced by 21-year-old Jack "Jackinho" Strom Mattsson who got his first big break after being the standout player for Prima Esport last year.

Both the benched players had initially decided to create a new CS:GO team along with now-retired player autimatic, but with no organization keen on stepping into the game at that moment their plan failed to take off. Shortly after, autimatic announced his departure from Counter-Strike and joined T1’s Valorant roster who were looking for an experienced player.

Now a few weeks later, the same project seems to have caught traction once again. This time suNny and flusha will be joined by unnamed youngsters and maybe another experienced player to complete their lineup, which will mostly be competing in Europe itself. It will be interesting to see how far do they manage to reach with their new lineup in a densely packed circuit, where a lot of teams have managed to assemble really great rosters.
