The South Asian leg of ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND CS:GO Festival 2020 came to an end yesterday with BL4ZE Esports winning the tournament. The Indian organization walked away as the regional champions along with a prize of $1,000 USD. It was not an easy journey though for them and all the other teams participating.

We had some incredible performances from each and every team as both the finalists 2ez and BL4ZE faced a tough time in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively. Let’s take a quick look at some of the best plays from the South Asian regional tournament which made us jump up in celebration or left us speechless for a while.

Top Five Plays From South Asia Playoffs Stage

5. The Quick Sneaky Rotate

BL4ZE Esports’ in-game leader Agneya “Marzil” Koushik had a great session with the team in their opening match against Wasted Potential. The rookie team lacked experience and it showed in their gameplay as they often left their flanks open and unguarded.

This once instance on Dust 2 when they all charged towards ‘A Long’ only to be stalled, turned into the perfect lurk moment for Marzil who charged through mid and caught three of them on the retreat.

4. Last Man Standing

Fit For Esports gave one hell of a time to 2ez Gaming, stretching the three-game series down to the wire. This massive 1v3 clutch by Dipayan “MaChO” Das who was the standout player for FFE, was the most exciting round from that exhilarating series.

Last man standing for his side and the team facing a ‘2-0’ deficit, MaChO clutched it out big time for his side in a post-plant situation. Ice running through his veins, he held the side and took a flawless triple to put his team on the scoreboard.

3. Blink And You Miss It

There are some plays which happen so quickly that if you are unlucky enough to blink at the exact moment when they occur, well then thank god for replays. This sick double headshot by Rafael “Raph” Marcal with a Deagle was unbelievably fantastic which even caught the casters by surprise.

Facing 2ez Gaming in the opening game of the grand final, both the teams were going toe-to-toe on the map. A rush by 2ez caught BL4ZE by surprise but Raph was able to contain them with a lightning-quick double headshot. You will have to watch the clip at least twice!

2. The Long Drawn Clutch

Facing off against BL4ZE in their opening match, Wasted Potential gave it their best shot and this long drawn clutch by Atharva “3vilpr1nc3” Joshi was one of the best rounds they managed to pull off. The opening pistol round on Overpass and 3vilpr1nc3 was right on the money with this one, as he clutched a 1v2 on the back of this beautiful tactical play.

1. Real Quad Kill On Mirage

Reckoning Esports was felling themselves in their opening match against VIBE and the biggest play for the side and the best one that I came across in this tournament was pulled off by none other than Piyush “clouda” Kalwania. This fantastic quad kill on Mirage in their opening map of the tournament set the pace for the team, and it was just incredible.

High IQ positioning, a good read on the enemy team, trigger discipline, and a couple of solid shots, this guy pulled off this particular round with utmost confidence and finesse. Hands down the best round in this tournament.

These were some of the best plays from ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND CS:GO Festival 2020: South Asia. With only the Middle East qualifier still left to be played out later this month, the tournament is nearing its end.
