Team Liquid is not the same team that won five consecutive CS:GO tournaments last year as they currently stand 14th on the CS:GO world rankings by HLTV. They have struggled to beat teams from their region in recent tournaments as they relocate to Europe to take on even stronger opponents.

As doubt begins to pile up against Liquid their in-game leader Jacky “Stewie2K “ Yip has opened up about their goals in the coming time as they focus on the currently ongoing BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Showdown where they have already managed to defeat the Danish lineup of MAD Lions.

Stewie2K Talks About Liquid’s Future

Stewie2K in a recent interview with Dexerto talked about Team Liquid’s aim moving forward as he said that they want to become a top-ten team in the world while he believes that they can very well be a top-five team as well.

“We’re just keeping our heads down, we’re not really listening to any criticism, we’re gonna make this lineup work and we’re just gonna try to move forward every time.”

He explains that the expectation was high from this lineup when they started out but things have clearly not gone Liquid’s way as they have struggled in their last three tournaments: ESL Pro League Season 12, IEM New York 2020, and IEM Beijing 2020.
