FURIA has been having a great time at ESL Pro League Season 12: North America currently leading the group stage leaderboard with five wins and a loss. Their in-game leader Andrei “arT” Piovezan has played a big role in this success due to his unique aggressive playstyle which makes FURIA an extremely difficult team to deal with.

In a recent AMA (Ask Me Anything) session held by arT on Reddit, the Brazilian went on to reveal why his aggressive CT-side tactics were so effective among other things like, how important is physical and mental health in esports, swapping the AWP between him and Henrique “HEN1” Teles, his plans for the future, and more.

arT Reveals Why His Aggressive CT Playstyle Is So Effective

One of the Reddit users (PuzzleheadedPainOuch) in a recent AMA session held by arT had asked the Brazilian captain why his “Super aggressive CT playstyle still works against teams even now, when they know that you’re always going to be pushing?”

Answering his question the 24-year-old revealed that his aggressive playstyle works because the enemy team can’t play around as usual when they are getting pushed so quickly, they cannot be passive instead “They have to be active to win the round, and expose themselves while doing so.”

He also specifically stated that his CT-sided playstyle is not super aggressive, he does not just run in blindly taking a gamble but makes calls “Based on information or something which is more solid than a coinflip.”

Apart from this arT goes on to talk about the importance of physical and mental fitness in esports saying that “Confidence is key in CS, having a fit life will improve yourself in different ways. Just having a good sleep schedule, and an overall better life is always gonna make you perform better no matter what.”

Speaking about the AWP situation arT says that he is the one who gets the bolt action rifle over HEN1 if his role in that particular round or scenario requires it, “If I don’t need it, he gets it.” On his plans regarding the future arT says that he is still uncertain but he would love to stay involved in esports in the future as well.

FURIA has had a great 2020 so far despite competitive Counter-Strike shifting online due to the global health situation. They have had a bit of a rough time in RMR tournaments so far not having won even one of them, but maybe the upcoming IEM New York 2020 might be their first!
