MIBR who have secured themselves a slot in the grand finals of FLASHPOINT Season 1 by defeating MAD Lion ‘2-1’ yesterday, witnessed Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo spring up a storm as the IGL of MIBR put up an outstanding performance to steer his team to their third consecutive victory in the playoffs.

But despite his effort, the play that stood out was made by Fernando “fer” Alvarenga on the second half of Dust 2 while playing as CT. The Brazilian executed a 200 IQ move by successfully blocking a smoke bomb thrown by MAD Lion, that was supposed to land on the ‘X Box’ by intercepting its trajectory and making it fall below the box in the process.

This simple yet extremely smart move by fer gave MIBR full vision against the opposition, who successfully prevented their rotation and claimed the round. With momentum already on their side, MIBR proceeded to win the next five rounds in a row to win the deciding map and claim the series ‘2-1’.

While MIBR becomes the first team to reach the finals of FLASHPOINT Season 1, chances are that they might face MAD Lion in the grand finals yet again, but only if the Danes are able to win against HAVU Gaming in their lower bracket face off.
