Na’Vi with its revamped roster has managed to top Group - B at ICE Challenge 2020, directly making its way into the semifinals. Following this Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev in an interview with Maincast expressed his disappointment with Valve over the timing of their update release, among other interesting things.

According to s1mple, Valve should release these big updates during the player break, giving teams at least 2 weeks before a tournament to practise along with the new changes, making the event more entertaining for the viewers.

He for one likes updates but thinks it is “not right to do it just before the qualifiers for the major, why do an update and change everything right before the best tournament.”

After playing a bit on the updated maps, s1mple felt weird. He predicts more executes on B-site in Dust 2, and fast rushes from T-side to Window on Mirage, which he still believes to be a CT-sided map.

He also spoke about returning to his old position of being the primary AWPer stating that it was

“A bit hard because I forgot certain angles, some peaks, and first moves, but it is nice to get entry and advantage for your team.”

Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy the new fifth member of Na’Vi was also talked about, with s1mple revealing that amongst all the players they tested “it felt better to play with him”.

Let’s see if Na’Vi can continue further into the tournament, making its way into the finals and maybe even lift the trophy as well.
