5Power defeat Tyloo to qualify for StarSeries & i-League Season 8

5Power Gaming is the first team to qualify through the Asian Qualifier for StarSeries & i-League Season 8 which is currently underway. They take down the Chinese juggernauts, Tyloo in the winner’s final after fighting through a closely contested match-up.

Asian Qualifier

The qualifier which started back on 26^th September is being played by eight invited teams. The top two teams from the qualifier will be moving on to the main event taking place in Belek, Turkey from 21^st-27^th October.

The eight directly invited teams are going against each other in a best-of-three, double-elimination bracket, where 5Power has grabbed themselves the first available slot by winning all their matches through the upper bracket.

A strange thing that happened after Tyloo lost their match against 5Power Gaming was that they forfeited their lower bracket bout, stating the reason as ‘time issue’. Winning this lower bracket match-up could have qualified them for the main event.

So as Tyloo has forfeited their match-up, the winner of EHOME versus IG will automatically become the second team qualifying for the main event. Stay tuned for an update on the second team qualifying for the main event.
