A normal day at ECS Studio turned out to be anything but that after the entire staff present at the studio had to be evacuated following a suspected ‘bomb threat’. The Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD) found a suspicious package in a trash can near the location of ECS Studio, and for safety measure had asked everyone to evacuate from the area.

The latest update by SMPD stated that the situation had been defused and that there was no threat to the public from the package found in the trash can. They were anticipating the area to open up soon and thanked everyone for their patience and cooperation.

The situation took place while both the ECS Season 8 - Europe & North America were underway. But the matches did not face any delay and went ahead as scheduled albeit without any casters.

Many people from ECS studio including Andrew Lane, Sliggy, and James Bardolph posted updates on the situation.

Within a span of two hours, things were back to normal and everyone proceeded with their work as usual. But the promenade still seems to be shut for the public according to the last update by James.
