Round 2 - High Matches

In the ‘High Matches’ group, Syman gave a tough fight to North on Train but despite having a great CT-side failed to take the game into overtime.

G2 was on fire, as they continued to hit heavy taking down DreamEaters by a score of ‘16-9’. Leading the pack from the front, this French squad is looking dangerous than ever before. Now only one victory away from making it through to the 'New Legends Stage', G2 is really feeling itself at the big stage.

AVANGAR after defeating Complexity in the first round felt quite confident, but this was not enough to go up against mousesports. Though AVANGAR had a slight lead going into the second half, it wasn’t enough for them to attain victory. Mousesports caught up to them to take the match into overtime and with the momentum on their side snatched the victory away from the opposition.

FURIA were showcasing their lighting fast executes, while HR might have not been able to keep up with the pace, CR4ZY were up for the challenge on Train. The map which doesn’t exactly suit a heavily fast-paced game style worked against the Brazilian squad as they went down to CR4ZY ‘16-11’.

Round 2 - Low Matches

On the ‘Low Matches’ group, both NRG and VItality after losing out on their initial matches were able to secure easy victories against Tyloo and INTZ, respectively. The two were back in form after a lacklustre opening, not letting the opposition even reach the double-digit mark.

Complexity was caught slipping for the second time in a row as they took a heavy blow against HellRaisers. Playing on Inferno, HR ran all over Complexity, hitting them hard in the first half playing T-sided, to make things worse Complexity ended up winning the least number of rounds amongst all teams in this round.

forZe were able to attain a victory after facing a rough defeat against mousesports. They went up against Grayhound, giving them a good fight the CIS org walked away with a victory, to end the day above the other CIS teams.

With this, the first day came to an end. While some teams proved to be really strong and some who were expected to be at the top of the leaderboards found themselves somewhere in the middle, it was a pretty hectic day with some top-class Counter-Strike action and this is how the teams stand at the end of it all.
