Within a day of BIG acquiring Tobias ‘tow b’ Herberhold from Sprout as their head coach, Sprout has gone ahead and announced Niclas ‘enkay J’ Krumhorn as his replacement.

The German organization has acquired the services of the 30-year-old, ex-ALTERNATE aTTaX coach, who in his 10-month tenure with that team helped them attain a second-place finish at the ESL Meisterschaft: Winter 2018, followed by victories at ESL Meisterschaft: Spring 2019 & Esportal Global.

Before his coaching stint with ALTERNATE aTTaX, Niclas was an analyst for top Counter-Strike teams like mousesports, Team EnVyUs and G2 Esports. It will be great to see how his experience and analysis techniques help Sprout on their road ahead.

In a conversation with HLTV, Nils ‘k1to’ Gruhne, entry rifler for Sprout said the following,

“The moment tow b told us that he was going to look for a different opportunity, we instantly knew that enkay J was our top pick and that we should get him as fast as we could.

We already practised with him in the last couple of days, and I am happy with the way he approaches different aspects of the game and the way he has brought those elements into the team in the short amount of time he has been with us.”

Enkay J will make his official appearance with the team at Games Clash Master, scheduled to take place from 20-22 September in Gdynia.

The current Sprout line-up after the acquisition of its new head coach is as follows,

  • Florian ‘syrsoN’ Rische

  • Timo ‘Spiidi’ Richter

  • Sabit ‘mirbit’ Coktasar

  • Josef ‘faveN’ Baumann

  • Nils ‘k1to’ Gruhne

  • Niclas ‘enkay J’ Krumhorn [Coach]
