Vega Squadron took to Twitter to announce its departure from competitive Counter-Strike for a while, placing its entire roster up for transfer.

All the five players have been placed for transfer sparing the coach and the manager. The organization is still active when it comes to other esport titles such as Dota 2, PUBG, FIFA and LoL.

Vega Squadron has been going through a lot of shuffling in its roster since the start of 2019. The most recent players to join the team were seized, scoobyxie and Dima.

Together with this new roster, the organization felt confident to make it through to the Berlin Major, but even after being directly invited for the CIS Minor Championship 2019: Closed Qualifier, they failed to secure a top-eight finish, losing out on their chance to play in the Major.

This was followed by a poor run at the BLAST Pro Series: Moscow 2019 - CIS Play-In Qualifier, where after being directly invited for the qualifier, Vega was unable to secure a top-two finish.

This is the first major that the team will be missing out on since PGL Krakow 2017. Also, the team seems to have hit rock bottom, as their last noticeable victory came in November 2017.

Let’s see when this pause comes to an end. The current Vega Squadron team which has been put on transfer is as follows,

  • Igor ‘crush’ Shevchenko

  • Dmytro ‘jR’ Chervak

  • Denis ‘seized’ Kostin

  • Alexander ‘scoobyxie’ Marynych

  • Dmitriy ‘Dima’ Bandurka

  • Artem ‘Fierce’ Ivanov [Coach]

  • Alexander ‘Lk’ Lemenshev [Manager]
