Whatever happened to Chuan!?

Wong "ChuaN" Hock Chuan was once the best support in the world. He was able to take over games single-handedly in a time where Supports were forever poverty stricken. He was one of the pioneering players who laid the blueprint for the way modern Position 4s like Jerax and AhFu play the game.

In 2012, the Malaysian player made history. He became the first and only player from the SEA region to win The International. While that was the highlight of his career, he performed well and was part of a few of China’s strongest roster over the next few years. His last stint saw him compete in the Perfect World Masters – Minor as part of Team ‘New Beginnings’ alongside SEA veterans like Lee "kYxY" Kong Yang, and Ng "YamateH" Wei Poong.

3 months later,  it seems no one in or around the Dota 2 scene has heard from him. Until now.

This video was just released by Mobile Legends Professional League which boasts a $100,000 prizepool.

He talks about how he made history for his country in the world’s largest stage. And says you can do the same by registering for the MPL – MY/SG.

In case you haven’t been able to tell, Chuan has become an Ambassador for Mobile Legends in his home country of Malaysia.

This basically confirms what we already assumed, Chuan has moved back to Malaysia for good. Whether this means that he has retired from the Dota 2 Pro scene is yet to be seen. But for now, he is busy booting up his Phone to play Mobile Legends.
