A major win punctuated the action at The Chongqing Major earlier today. Intrepid European powerhouse Team Liquid beat TNC Predator in two long, hard-fought games, to secure their place in the next round despite having to deal with health issues plaguing their stand-in Chu "shadow" Zeyu.

Team Liquid vs TNC Predator

The first game lasted a little over than 40 minutes, but it wasn’t as close as the timer made it seem. Team Liquid controlled the tempo almost from the start with all three of their cores being ridiculously farmed and beefy. TNC Predator quite simply ran out of damage in the later stages of the game, which allowed Team Liquid to capitalize and secure the win.

With a 1-0 lead, Team Liquid wanted to clean things up and begin preparing for their next round against Fnatic. But TNC Predator came out with some insane combos with their Lich-Grimstroke-Tinker that pushed the game into the later stages.

With a full-out brawl happening between the teams, Team Liquid just outplayed TNC in the final confrontations. After a set of amazing plays, Team Liquid eliminated TNC from the competition and punched their ticket into the top eight.

TNC Predator have thus been eliminated from this tournament after securing 150 DPC points bringing up their total DPC points to 870. Fnatic is the sole SEA representative left in this tournament. They will have a chance to avenge their brethren in their next match against Team Liquid.
