The best and most consistent team in this year’s DPC tables reigned supreme once again.

Team Secret secured their 2nd Major victory of the season, at the MDL Disneyland Paris Major yesterday. Puppey commanded Team Secret to a 3-1 victory in the grand finals over Team Liquid, even managing to shut down the surging Miracle in an epic victory.

Team Liquid struck first in the best-of-five series, thanks to yet another incredible performance by Miracle- on his signature Morphling. Securing a jaw-dropping 23 kills alongside a 23/1/9 KDA, as well as almost 41,600 points of damage to his name (The next highest in his team was MinD_ContRoL with 15.5k). He even managed to a claim a Quadruple Rampage, etching his name on the highlight reels.

Team Secret struck back, hard, The next two games were extremely one-sided with Team Secret showcasing incredible decision-making and skill, as they dominated their fellow European brethren. The star of the show in Game 2 and Game 3, was Zai, who managed to win his lane in both games, and dissuaded any attempts from Team Liquid to make their way back in the game with his downright awe-inspiring play as Sand King in Game 2 and Doom in Game 3.

And finally, Team Secret picked Sven in the fourth map—a hero which hasn’t dropped a single game in the main stage. Liquid’s greedy lineup caused them to lose the laning stage to Team Secret who completely abused Liquid’s lack of damage in the early game to mow down Tower and secured multiple Aegis.

While Team Liquid’s impressive high-ground defences with Sniper, Tider, EarthShaker and Disruptor did delay the game by a bit, Team Secret just overwhelmed Team Liquid with their superior items and timings to close out the game and secure the title.

This is the 2nd Major of the season for Team Secret, the first being the Chongqing Major. For now, all doubts about Team Secret’s consistency and sheer skill have been put to rest with this Triumph. They’ve won 50% of the Dota 2 Majors this season.

Team Liquid, on the other hand, won’t be too disappointed with this result as they showcased that they’ve still got what it takes to go toe-to-toe with the best teams across the world. They’ve also guaranteed their spot in The International 9 with this result.
