The Mongolz entire roster has been acquired by a new Chinese organization called Storm Rider.

The Mongolian team which had seen quite a lot of success in 2016 by winning the Intel Extremes Master: Taipei and following it up with another win at ROG Masters Asia, hasn’t been in the limelight for quite some time now.

Even though The Mongolz have not been performing up to their potential they were approached by Storm Rider. The Chinese organization offered them salaries, a gaming house with all the necessary equipment and much more. At the team's present situation the opportunity was too huge to let go off as Tuvshinbleg Lkhagvasuren, owner and co-founder of The Mongolz let the squad transfer for free.

The team was officially transferred over to their new organization after finishing in the 3rd-4th place at the eXTREMESLAND Mongolian Qualifier. The team is currently residing at their new gaming house at Changsha, China.

The team has announced their participation in the upcoming qualifiers for both ESL Pro League – Season 8 and Toyota Masters CS:GO Bangkok 2018

The Storm RIder’s current roster is as follows:

  • Bold "ncl" Batsuh

  • Tsog "Tsogoo" Mashbat

  • Erdenedalai "maaRaa" Bayanbat

  • Yesuntumur "nin9" Gantulga

  • Uuganbayar "neuz" Nyam-Otgon

  • Khurts "BestronG" Artssed (coach)

ncl’, ‘Tsogoo’ and ‘maaRaa’ are the three experienced players in the squad with their positions being support rifler, rifler and in-game leader, respectively. While ‘nin9’ and ‘neuz’ are extremely new to the professional scene handling the AWPer and entry fragger positions, respectively.

It will be interesting to see if the squad manages to perform better under a new organization.
