Day 1 of the SEA Qualifiers for Dreamleague Season 11 is turning out to be quite eventful as a number of incidents and results caught fans by surprise.

Mineski’s new roster surprise TNC in Group A

In Group A, Mineski surprised TNC with a dominating 2-0 win, taking top seed. Both teams won their opening games with Mineski shutting down Lotac 2-0 and TNC taking the win against their former teammate SamH’s DeToNator. Kuku’s return to TNC didn’t get off to the best of starts as his side got manhandled by a fierce looking Mineski.

The addition of AhJit in the Mineski squad along with the release of the new patch contributed heavily to their wins, as TNC felt oddly out of place in the series. In game 1, Mineski took the win with a meme score of 32-2 while in game 2 the score read 35-9.

TNC now face the winners of DTN and Lotac but even a win will force them into a hard matchup against Fnatic in the playoffs.

PG.BarracX forfeit series against Fnatic after comical error

In group B, Fnatic brought out Lifestealer, offlane CK and carry Bounty Hunter in their first series against WG.Unity, taking it 2-0. Meanwhile, PG.BarracX managed to surprise fellow Indonesian squad, BOOM ID with 2 superior wombo-combo drafts featuring an Engima. However, in the winner bracket finals, an error from their management saw them misinterpret the time of the match and they were unable to join the lobby in time, leading to a forfeit.

The group stage matches are still underway as the lower brackets of both groups are being played out. Stay tuned for all the updates …
