Earlier today, after the picking phase of Game 1, in the Winner’s Bracket match between Complexity Gaming and Team RNG. Andrei ‘Skem’ Ong made some inappropriate remarks in ‘All Chat’ to which RNG gave no response.
Complexity Gaming immediately posted an apology on their official Twitter account making it clear that the NA team does not condone intolerance of any kind, and that Skem will be fined.
We have been made aware of an inappropriate comment by one of our players in today’s #coLDota #DreamLeague match. Complexity Gaming does not condone intolerance of any kind and the player will receive a formal reprimand, as well as a maximum fine.— compLexity Gaming (@compLexity) November 1, 2018
Skem's teammate, Jacky 'EternaLEnVy' Mao also posted a tweet, admitting that it was wrong of Skem to make such comments.
What Skem wrote is wrong for sure. However he had 0 ill intentions. He’s just a dumb 17 yr old introvert trying to be funny. The difference is that he did it publicly on broadcast. He’s honestly one of the most loyal n good ppl I’ve ever played with.— EternaLEnVy (@EternaLEnVy1991) November 1, 2018
Skem soon followed with an apology of his own.
I'd like to apologize for the language I used today during the dreamleague match. I understand that words have consequences and I have learned from my mistake. I am very sorry to anyone that was offended.— Andrei (@skemdota2) November 1, 2018
