Signify and ROG TiTans found their way into the Grand Finals of the ESL India Premiership 2018 - Fall Season Finale after 2 relatively easy victories over Reckoning.Infinity and Reckoning Esports. Both squads are significantly better than the other two teams competing in the Main Event, so it really is no surprise seeing them clash in the Grand Finals of this tournament.
Here’s a short rundown of what went down in the Hitex Exhibition Center, Hyderabad.
Game one saw both teams going all out in an absolutely intense match, with Reckoning.Infinity drafting themselves a Huskar based lineup who looked like he would be unkillable in the mid-game stage. However, Signify refused to give up and through some brilliant movements from Sw1fty’s Mirana and a farmed Crowley Enchantress, Huskar’s momentum was halted which lead to Signify claiming a victory over Reckoning Infinity in Game 1.
Game two took us on a rollercoaster from the time that the draft was occurring right until the end of it – with a support Zeus, an offlane Sven, Terrorblade, Pugna, and Vengeful Spirit all making a showing in Signify who showed us some pristine execution of epic team fights against Reckoning Infinity whose mobile cores of Storm Spirit and Mirana held the line against the onslaught. But Signify then came out with the big plays, beating out Reckoning Infinity in the clutch situations, to secure the victory in a match that lasted over an hour.
Unfortunately for Reckoning.Infinity, they would be eliminated from the ESL India Premiership 2018 - Fall Season Finale, claiming a 3rd-4th place. Signify will move on to the Grand Finals
ROG TiTans chose to open the series with an Ogre Magi pick for Darshan ‘A35’ Bata and it began to pay off for them as he managed to get quite a bit of free-farm before ROG’s line up begun to dominate. Just passed 25 minutes we started to see the lineup’s power come into play as they wiped Reckoning Esports from the map and took command of the game. From that point on, Reckoning Esports managed to lose all semblance of control over the game as they only managed to get 1 Kill from that point on, whilst simultaneously trading 15 kills and all 6 Barracx to ROG TiTans and lost the game as a result.
The next game of the series saw domination from ROG instantly as Akshay “ZxC” Dhodi on Omniknight managed to farm a Radiance in under 15 minutes against a Broodmother as Reckoning Esports fell far behind quickly. Once again, Reckoning Esports tried to fight their way back against the pressure coming out from ROG TiTans, and once again, ROG took full advantage teamwiping Reckoning Esports over and over again to secure Game 2 in under 30 minutes.
After another semi-final that was packed with amazing Dota 2 action, unfortunately, Reckoning Esports would be eliminated from the ESL India Premiership 2018 - Fall Season Finale, claiming a 3rd-4th place finish. ROG TiTans will move on to the grand finals to face Signify and fight in a best-of-three series for the top honours.
