Optic Gaming beat the #1 team on the Dota 2 Pro Circuit, Virtus.Pro to move on to the winners' group in the Swiss format. Per Anders "Pajkatt" Olsson Lille put in a blinder of a performance for Optic Gaming on his signature Gyrocopter, almost single-handedly winning the game(With some help from 33’s Tidehunter, zai’s IO) as Quinn "CC&C" Callahan suffered on his Storm Spirit.

Virtus.Pro started off strong, continuing their stellar form which saw them win ESL One: Katowice, killing CC&C’s Storm Spirit multiple times in the laning stage to race off to a 14k gold lead. Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev’s Juggernaut, in particular, was having a great game, even getting a rampage for himself in the 25-minute mark.

Optic needed a big ravage to turn it around the game, and Neta "33" Shapira delivered. A massive 5 man Ravage turned the tides for Optic Gaming.

With momentum back on their side, Optic Gaming forced another fight in the midlane at 37 minute mark and wiped Virtus.Pro to secure 2 lanes of rax.

Virtus.Pro, up against the walls, went for a desperation smoke into the Roshan Pit where Optic Gaming once again, tore them apart with Pajkatt’s Gyrocopter to force the GG from Virtus.Pro

Optic Gaming will now join Team Liquid, Team Secret, and Evil Geniuses who all won the opening round of matches earlier today in the winners' group of the Swiss format. Virtus.Pro has been relegated to the loser’s group alongside LFY, Complexity Gaming, and Pain Gaming.

Mineski and TNC Pro Team are going head to head against each other HERE right now. Tune in for a good dose of SEA Dota on the international stage.
