A day full of blunders
The event instantly took over the internet due to a massive onstage blunder that took place during the opening ceremony. The invited singer who at one point was part of a popular Eurodance group had a massive cringe moment on the stage when this happened,
The DJ, known as DJ Charley made the blunder and refused to heed any attention to the singer who constantly told him to stop as they were terribly out of sync.

One of the few times you can correctly say cringe on the interwebs.
But this was just the start, the event faced other problems such as frequent audio problems along with a server crash right in the first match of the event.
A quick recap of the first day of Charleroi Esports: opening show was a real failure. Unfortunately there were huge audio problems, erver crashed on the first map. Let's hope that everything is set and ready for todays matches starting at 14:00pm CET— Lirim Reçica (@Reliccs_) April 13, 2019
Frostfire - Team LDLC
Many locals attending the event were also complaining about the casting within the arena not being done in English, to which the Charleroi team tweeted the following,
We didn’t delete any tweet.— Charleroi Esports (@CharleroiEsport) April 12, 2019
For the cast in the arena today, the audience wasn’t as good as expected and a huge, almost all the DÔME -outside teams- were French-speakers
As we already said,If tomorrow the audience is higher/mixed,the cast will be in English (except French Derby) https://t.co/AvypF5Nr9l
Note: The English stream was not affected by this and continued to have the broadcast in the English language.
As Belgium claims this to be their first major CS:GO event some problems were surely expected but I think some of the things could have been avoided. All in all the event did face delays but it was a decent first day as all the matches were played out properly. Hope they come back stronger on the next two days.

Two teams from each group will be advancing to the single elimination Playoffs where every match-up will be following a best-of-three format.
The 8 participating teams have been divided into two groups with Vitality securing a spot in the Playoffs from Group - A followed by Epsilon Esports coming through from Group - B.

FrostFire who had replaced B.O.O.T-d[S] for the event were a bit unlucky to have faced the French squad of team Vitality in their opening duel. It was a clean sweep for Vitality who took them down by a score of ‘16-6’ on Cache.
Surprisingly Zywoo was not the one leading the charge for Vitality as NBK went all out, standing with an HLTV overall rating of 1.76. Sadly for FrostFire, Nutr1xNTC was the only player who gave a tough fight to the opposition holding an ADR of 90.6.
Let’s see if the Malaysian’s are able to survive the double elimination today and make it to the Playoffs.
The schedule for today's matches are as follows;
FrostFire vs LDLC | 17:30 IST
Sprout vs Winner of Group - A elimination match | 23:30 IST
G2 Esports vs Virtus.pro | 20:30 IST
GamerLegion vs Winner of Group - B elimination match | 02:30 IST
The matches will be streamed in multiple languages on twitch,
