Europe has established its dominance in the MDL Disneyland Paris Major with 3 of its teams qualifying for the Upper Brackets. Earlier yesterday, Team Secret qualified to the Upper Brackets in dominant fashion beating down Empire and Chaos E.C.

Today, Team Liquid and NiP had the opportunity to join them after they lost their games yesterday. Here’s how they made it through

Team Liquid stands strong against Keen Gaming

Keen Gaming made its way into the decider match with significant momentum, after disintegrating beastcoast in a series which lasted less than an hour.

However, Team Liquid was another beast altogether. Game 1 saw the Europeans go for a 4 protect 1 strategy with Miracle’s Medusa backed up by Matumbaman’s Drow Ranger. The Chinese teams just couldn’t handle the sheer damage dealt by the snake lady and conceded Game 1. Game 2, was a similar story, with Keen Gaming going for a cheesy Pos 1 Leshrac. Liquid just stood strong in the early-midgame stages to easily secure a 23-minute victory.

NiP goes through the Gauntlet and emerges unhinged

After a horrid start to the Group Stages with a 2-1 loss to SA team Chaos Esports Club, NiP came back swinging.

They kicked off their run on Day 2 with a scintillating 2-0 victory over Empire. Game 1 saw Ace take off on his Morphling going 17-0-3 and decimating the Russians. Game 2 was much more even, but in the end, NiP’s experience paid off in the long run as they won the late game with some great decision-making.

Then they went on to exert their revenge on the South American team in the decider match, securing a relatively straightforward 2-0 victory and a place in the Upper Brackets in the playoffs.

Fnatic and Mineski are currently fighting for their place in the Upper Brackets in Group C and D.
