The final day of IEM Katowice 2019 – Asia Minor witnessed a clash between Grayhound and ViCi Gaming in the Loser’s Final where ViCi took the lead with a win on Overpass but failed to overcome the challenge on the remaining two maps as they lost the BO3 series ‘2-1’.

With this, Grayhound became the second and the final team from the Asia Minor to qualify onto the New Challengers Stage.

ViCi played a really clean game on Overpass where they dominated Grayhound pretty hard. The Australian side got a good hammering from the ViCi players, who controlled the entire match pretty comfortably.

ViCi generally known for their aggressive and quick executes played a game of extreme patience mixed with their natural game. Grayhound faced a long gruelling session trying to contain the damage and come up with a plan but failed to make an impact.

Grayhound happily returned the favour on Mirage, limping almost every execute that ViCi could think of. Always a step ahead and fast on their triggers the Australian side had a quick revenge as they settled the series on ‘1-1’.

The final map witnessed attrition from both the sides with none of them ready to back down. Both the teams brought in their A game but as discussed earlier ViCi somehow face a massive dip in their performance every time, they face a pressure situation and they fell victim to the same yet again, losing their grip on the match in the dying rounds.

With this, the Asia Minor comes to an end with the two Australian teams Renegades and Grayhound qualifying through to the New Challengers Stage.

Also, both I and Bleh were spot on with our predictions for the Asia Minor.
