A total of 6 teams will be invited (not yet announced) and 6 teams will qualify through regional qualifiers. This means that each region will have one qualifier spot for the event. The open qualifiers for Birmingham will take place between the 14th and 15th of April while the final, closed qualifier, will be held between the 19th and 22nd of April.
According to ESL, ticket sales for ESL One Birmingham were so impressive that it became the fastest selling Dota 2 event they have ever organized. ESL posted today on Twitter explaining that the final set of additional tickets would go on sale this Thursday at 11 am GMT.
This event will be ESL's third, and final, major on the DPC this season and will surely feature some of the best Dota as this will be the last opportunity for teams to secure their spot at TI8.
