Earlier this week, Entity Gaming parted ways with Phuc “lordboonz” Nguyen from its active roster a mere three weeks since he joined the team citing “difference of opinions” as a reason. Our conversations with the Org and the player indicate that this wasn’t a happy breakup.
This roster change is Entity Gaming's 3rd after the roster lock.
Speaking on the matter, Sid Joshi said :
"We have decided to part ways with our carry lordboonz due to difference of opinions. We thank him for the 3 weeks he spent with us during which we achieved decent results. The team will be on vacation till the 5th May and we will utilise this time to look for a new player. We are already in touch with a few players and an announcement will be made very soon."
With lordboonz in the lineup, Entity Gaming managed to finish in 3rd-4th place in both the China Supermajor: SEA Open Qualifiers, MDL Changsha: SEA Open Qualifiers their best placements since their roster shuffle, way back in January.

As unfortunate as this incident is for both the Entity Gaming organization and the player, there’s little time to mope about what’s done. The final stretch of the season is well underway with the SEA qualifiers for The International 8 fast approaching. Considering the fact that this will be their last chance to make their efforts through the season worthwhile and the caliber of the teams they’ll face in the open qualifiers, they’ll need to put this incident behind them and focus their energy towards the final preparations for The International 8.
