The defending champions Na’Vi have opted to skip StarSeries I-League Season-6, explaining to everyone that the decision was due to the organization concentrating on some other upcoming events.

Na’Vi’s manager Eugene ‘ugin’ Yerofeyev puts in a few words saying,

“Every year it becomes more difficult for us to make a choice in which tournaments to participate because their quality and quantity are growing. The next season we have a very tight schedule, which is why we are forced to withdraw even from a home tournament, from participation in which they never refused. Many factors have merged, and we will need to take a break precisely on this stretch of the road. There are many other tournaments ahead, for which we have very serious goals.”
Although it is still uncertain which tournaments were preferred by Na’Vi over their home tournament, some clues point towards one of the tournaments being the $300,000 EPICENTER due to take place in the last week of October.

StarLadder had initially planned on inviting 12 teams for the event which was later reduced to 8 due to unknown reasons or circumstances. With all the Regional Qualifiers coming to an end, 2 of the direct invite slots still remain TBD while only 3 teams (Fnatic, NRG & North) from the global top 10 have confirmed their invitation.

Now with the season 5 champions declining to play in the city of Kiev, it is sure to upset the local crowd as Na’Vi were the home team.
