It looks like 2 Filipino organizations, Clutch Gamers and Team Admiral have combined forces to tackle the upcoming SEA circuit in the leadup to The International 8. Their active roster will be:

  • Lai “Ahjit” Jay Son
  • Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte
  • Kharis “Skylark” Zafeiriou
  • Marvin “Boombacs” Rushton
  • Vladimir “yol” Basov

This, of course, means that  Mohammad "AfrOmoush" Abu Al Eis will no longer be part of the Clutch Gamers' active playing roster. The organization has said that they're open to transferring the player to any other team and will work hard towards making that happen. The futures of the other Team Admiral players, Benhur "Benhur" Lawis and Ralph Richard "RR" Peñano remain unclear.

This has been one of Clutch Gamers' longest slumps, the team hasn't come close to qualifying for any Dota 2 Pro Circuit event this season. Fnatic, Mineski, and TNC Predator have all shown that they're a step ahead of them.

But the possibility of seeing someone like Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte compete alongside experienced veterans like Skylark, and yol is a thought too enticing not to consider as a legit contender in the SEA scene, and one that in the next few months may, in fact, qualify for The International 8.
