An easy 2-0 for B.O.O.T d[S] secured them a LAN slot at the ESL Pro League Season 7 APAC finals. A surprise loss to Signature Gaming yesterday, pushed them down to the lower bracket, but the boys from Singapore had no trouble, taking down Recca to take the last slot from SEA.
The day kicked off with Mineski Vs Recca and Mineski surprised everyone with a win on the first map, Cobblestone. However, that was all the reality check that Recca required as they destroyed them on train and then Mirage to move onto the lower bracket finals.
In the finals, however, they found themselves out of their element as d[S] were clearly the better team on the day. On Mirage, Recca managed to keep the first half only down to a 3 round deficit, but d[S] delivered a strong message on their T side to take the map 16-8.
The Nuke pick coming out of d[S] especially in such a crucial tie was surprising to say the least, but in the end, they managed to make it work in their favor. A solid T side set them up with a 3 round cushion and they managed to hold on for a 16-12 win. Overall, the series was quite one-sided with Recca unable to get the ball rolling at any point. B.O.O.T d[S]’s latest addition, w1nt3r looked solid across both the maps as well, finishing with 44 frags and a 92 ADR across both the games.
B.O.O.T-d[S] now join Grayhound Gaming, ORDER, Flash Gaming, Signature Gaming, MVP PK and The MongolZ in the LAN finals which will take kick off on the 20th of April.
