Dominik "Black^" Reitmeier, Carry for Entity Gaming's Dota 2 squad, has taken his leave from the organization.
Esportsheaven.com, broke the news earlier today in a post on its website. At the time of his departure, Black^ had been a member of the team for nearly two months—with his tenure starting back in May 2018.
In his time with Entity Gaming, Black^ was one of the best players of the Dota 2 roster. His contributions as the carry were felt mostly during their TI7 SEA Qualifiers, where he helped Entity Gaming reach top 4 in the SEA Regional Qualifiers after making it through the Open Qualifiers.
Despite being considered significantly weaker than most Tier 1 SEA teams at the time, Entity Gaming and Black^ shocked the SEA scene by eliminating Battle Arena Elites, and BOOM ID in the group stages. Though they did go on to finish 4th in the playoffs, few can say that their performance at this year's TI qualifiers was anything less than inspiring—especially considering the multiple roster shuffles they had to go through.

They now join @TNC_Tiger, @TNCProTeam, @FNATIC in The International 8 SEA Regional Qualifier playoffs.
“It’s no secret that Black^ was our original choice for the lineup. But some things didn’t work out and we played in different teams. As TI came closer, Black^ was looking for a team and we were looking for a carry.“ said Entity Gaming’s manager Sid Joshi. “We both agreed to give fate a chance and agreed to play the TI qualifiers together. Therefore there is no question of him leaving, or us removing him. We did what we mutually agreed to do”
As of the time of writing, Entity Gaming has not yet announced who will be replacing Black^ in their lineup. Black^ himself has not revealed which team he will be playing for next, either—but we are sure that a player of his caliber will soon find a new place to call home.
