The AMD Dota 2 Pro Series 2018 presented by Convictus Esports kicks off tomorrow and includes a mix of interesting teams and lineups who will fight for a roughly 37,000$ prize pool. This will be one of Australia’s first big LANs and although it doesn’t seem as big as LANs we have nowadays, it is one of the bigger ones in the country and indeed the entire APAC region.

Among the list of attendees are TI8 champions OG who will be playing their first LAN since winning TI8 in August. Mineski are also in attendance and will be looking to prove themselves as their DPC season has gotten off to a poor start and they have been unable to qualify for any of the first 4 events.

Elsewhere, the other two notable names are the two Chinese teams, Deathbringer Gaming which has Lanm and Mr.Gameboy which includes former TI champion Ferrari_430 in their ranks. Apart from them, Thailand’s Alpha Red, Indonesia’s PG.BarracX and two Australian teams, AGN Black and Natural 9 are also in attendance.

Mineski and OG will start off directly in the playoffs while the rest of the 6 teams play out a bo1 round-robin group stage. The top 2 teams here will join OG and Mineski in the upper bracket while the remaining 4 teams start in the lower bracket.

The group stage matches will take place throughout the day on the 7th of December while the playoffs take place across 2 days, ie 8th and 9th at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
