Asian Development League Announced

The Asian Development League was announced yesterday on 10th October 2018. Vision Studio along with Douyu, a Chinese streaming platform have partnered up to launch the Asian league which features a prize pool of $25,300 USD

The league is split into three different phases: Closed Qualifier, Main Stage and The Finals. 

Closed Qualifier 

Eight Asian teams will be invited for this round. These eight teams will be divided into two groups of four teams each which will follow a GSL format taking place from 15th-30th October

Top two teams from each group will move on to the Main Stage, where they will join 8 directly invited teams to compete at the Main Stage. 

The teams invited for the Closed Qualifier are as follows:

  • New4 

  • BTRG 


  • Storm Rider 

  • Recca Esports 

  • Signature Gaming 

  • TNC

Main Event 

Along with the four teams qualifying for the round through the Closed Qualifier, eight more teams have been directly invited. 

These twelve teams will compete against each other in a BO3 – Round Robin format which will take place from 31st Oct-1st Dec.

The teams invited for the Main Event are as follows: 

  • TyLoo 

  • CyberZen 

  • Flash 

  • 5Power 

  • B.O.O.T-d[S] 

  • SZ Absolute 

  • GOSU 

  • Beyond Esports 

The Finals

The top four teams from the Main Event will progress to The Finals where they will face-off against each other in a double-elimination BO3 bracket due to take place from 2nd-5th December.

The organizers said that they are aiming to promote Chinese CS:GO while deepening the bond between Asian teams and building a systematic pro league where fresh blood from the region can be noticed and trained.

The League showcases a total prize pool of 175,000 CNY ($25,300) which will be distributed as follows: 

  • 1 Pos. 70,000 CNY ($ 10, 110) 

  • 2 Pos. 35,000 CNY ($ 5,055) 

  • 3-4 Pos. 18,750 CNY ($ 2,710) 

  • 5-8 Pos. 9,375 CNY ($1,355)
