In yet another massive upset at ESL One Mumbai, Mineski took a spectacular victory over Team Team, securing a top 3 finish for themselves.

After a scintillating victory over The Pango in Group B’s decider match, Mineski were heavy underdogs coming into their matchup against Team Team in the upper brackets. EternaLEnVy’s team were undefeated in the Group stages going 4-0 in Group A to secure the top seed. This match was expected to be a relatively easy victory for the NA team.

But things didn’t exactly pan out that way.

Mineski vs Team Team

Game 1: Team Team played a very unorthodox strategy in game one with a Veno Mid and a Spectre Carry. Mineski with their superior lineup took advantage right from the laning stage, winning teamfight and skirmishes to build a massive 10k Gold net worth advantage by the 20-minute mark.

From there, they pinched in and took a 1-0 lead with crisp execution to be within touching distance of a Top 3 spot.

Game 2: The second game was much more even, with Team Team coming out on top in the laning phase. But, Team Team just didn’t take advantage of that. A botched teamfight near the enemy shrine allowed Mineski to catchup on Ahjit’s Medusa.

The story essentially repeated itself in Game 2. Mineski never really let go of their hard earned gold lead and with the better late-game cores, came out on top with relative ease in just 28 minutes to secure a Top 3 spot.

Mineski will now face Na’Vi in the upper bracket finals. Two teams that no one would have predicted to make it to this stage.

With Keen Gaming, Team Team and TNC Predator in the Lower Brackets, we’re gonna witness one hell of a playoff bracket at the NSCI Dome, Mumbai starting tomorrow.
