Lai Jay Son, also known as “Ahjit”, has been removed from Mineski’s Dota 2 roster, just days after the team crashed out of the Starladder Kiev Dota 2 Minor.

His release from the organization was announced earlier today through a post made on the team’s social media handle.

Ahjit has been a part of Mineski’s Dota 2 lineup since January. With him as their carry, Mineski finished in the Top 6 at ESL One Katowice 2019 and as runner-ups ESL One: Mumbai 2019. They also qualified for two consecutive Majors: Dreamleague Season 11 and the MDL: Disneyland Paris Major.

However, the last two months have seen Mineski regress quite a bit. Which could be why the organization decided to make this change.

It should be interesting to see who Mineski brings in to replace Ahjit. While former Liquid player, Lasse Aukusti "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen is by-far the best carry available at the moment, realistically Mineski might not be able to sign the Finnish superstar. Perhaps they’ll be looking to poach Raven from Geek Fam.

On the other hand, for now, it seems like Ahjit will be looking for a new place to call home. As one of the better carry players in the SEA Dota 2 scene, there will likely be more than a few teams interested in signing him.
