JDG Head Coach Homme announced a temporary break from League of Legends esports next year.

JDG's Golden Road run was stopped prematurely after losing to T1 in the Worlds 2023 semifinals.

Homme took to his Weibo account to talk about the series and his future plans.

Homme initially entered League of Legends esports as a top laner for MVP White in 2012.

JD Gaming was named as one of "the teams" to beat at Worlds 2023, having won the LPL Spring, MSI, and LPL Summer.

T1 took down JD Gaming in the Worlds 2023 semifinal with a convincing 3-1 score line.

Homme apologized for the LPL fans' expectations for JDG and asked them not to be too sad.

This is not the first stint for Homme with JDG, having coached the team between 2018 and 2020.
