1. NO MORE LOOT BOXES. Overwatch 2 will be monetized through cosmetic sales and battle passes instead.
2. PVE CONTENT. Single-player and co-op story content will arrive in 2023.
3. THREE NEW HEROES. Sojourn, Junker Queen and Kimiko arrive on 4th October and more heroes will come in future seasons.
4. FREE-TO-PLAY. Overwatch 2 will be free-to-play unlike its predecessor which had a $40 USD price tag.
5. 5v5 GAMEPLAY. Overwatch is moving away from its 6v6 format with the tank role being restricted to one slot only in its standard game modes.
6. HERO REWORKS. A lot of heroes are being tweaked and all classes are receiving passive perks.
Overwatch 2 will be available starting 4th October.
