Garena has officially announced one of the largest esports events for South Asia, the Free Fire Tri-Series Tournament. The 7-day tournament will be held on April 9, 2021, where the top 18 esports teams from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh fight for a lion’s share of $50,000 USD. Each nation participating in the Free Fire Tri-Series Tournament is represented by the top 6 teams in its respective regional league - the Free Fire India Championship 2021 Spring, Free Fire Bangladesh Championship, and Free Fire Pakistan League. The high-octane Free Fire Tri-Series Tournament will bring together the top 18 esports teams from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, with each nation represented by the top 6 teams in its respective regional league - the Free Fire India Championship 2021 Spring, Free Fire Bangladesh Championship, and Free Fire Pakistan League.
The event is scheduled to kick off on April 9 where teams will compete in a 7-day battle to determine who will proceed to the grand final on April 25, 2021, and claim the lion’s share of the $50,000 USD prize pool.
Each participating team will be split into three groups and will face off against each other twice across six action-packed days. After the dust has settled on Day 6, all the scores will be pooled, and the top 12 teams will proceed to the grand finals on April 25, 2021.
