Garena has announced what seems to be the first ever Call of Duty: Mobile tournament for players in Thailand and including a LAN finale. The title’s release and subsequent success led to over 100 million downloads in the first week with speculations that it would soon turn into an esport. The fact that COD: Mobile belongs to a successful series which has a long standing history with esports and given its natural competitive gameplay, it seemed as if it would only be a matter of time, before Call of Duty: Mobile became a mobile esport title.
The tournament announced by Garena will be called Mission One and it will be played on the Garena version of the game. It has a prize pool of USD 6,600 and will be structured into an online and offline phase with the top 8 teams from the online phase moving onto the LAN finals. The finals will take place in the Garena Esports Studio in Thailand.
The mode for the game will be 5v5 Team Deathmatch with rounds lasting 10 minutes or race to a 100 kills. The registration for the tournament will last till the 29th of October and can be done here.

1st place - 3,300 USD
2nd place - 1,600 USD
3rd/4th place - 800 USD
