Skyesports Reveals 2022 Esports Schedule: Titles, Events, Dates, Prize Pools, More

One of the biggest Indian esports tournament organizers has revealed its 2022 roadmap.

One of the biggest Indian esports tournament organizers, Skyesports, has announced its roadmap for the 2022 circuit. Following a successful 2021, Skyesports has revealed all the tournaments that lie ahead including its major IPs and a return to LAN events.

Apart from this, Skyesports has also planned on working with game developers to host several first-party tournaments throughout the year. Following its expansion into South Asia last year, the tournament organizer is ready to set foot into other regions as well in 2022.

Continuing the inclusion of multiple esports titles, Skyesports will be organizing tournaments involving Valorant, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), League of Legends (LoL), Free Fire (FF), Hearthstone, FIFA, Real Cricket, and more.

Skyesports 2022 Esports Roadmap: Complete Details

The Chennai-based esports tournament organizers, Skyesports, has finally revealed its 2022 esports roadmap with multiple tournaments catering to different esports titles, offering huge prize pools, and includes multiple regions.

While making all the big promises, Skyesports has pointed out that this will not lead to a reduction in grassroots level competitions and they shall continue to take place in the same frequency as the past.

Here are the complete details on the Skyesports roadmap for 2022,

Skyesports Grand Slam 2022 - Season 1

February - March

This tournament will be taking place from Feb to March with an open-for-all format. It will be featuring a prize pool of $40,000 USD which will be split evenly between Valorant and BGMI.

Skyesports Pro League

March - April

This tournament will be taking place from March to April, featuring a total prize pool of $20,000 split between Free Fire, Valorant, League of Legends, and Dota 2.

Skyesports League 2022

April-May

The city-based esports league will return once again during the summer of 2022. It will feature a proper player auction and is set to be one of the biggest esports events of the year that will be taking place on LAN. It will have a total prize pool of INR 1,50,00,000.

Rajasthan Strikers - Winners of Skyesports League 2021

Skyesports Championship 4.0

August-October

This tournament will be featuring a total prize pool of INR 1,00,00,000 which will be split between multiple esports titles. The grand finals of this event will be taking place on LAN.

Real Cricket Championship 2022

September-October

Skyesports will be hosting this tournament for one of the biggest cricket games in India. The tournament shall take place in the second half of the year with a total prize pool of INR 50,00,000.

Skyesports Grand Slam 2022 - Season 2

October

The second season of the tournament will be taking place in the month of October with an open-for-all format. The prize pool and titles will be revealed at a later date.

Skyesports Mobile Open

November-December

The mobile focussed tournament will return after almost a year. It will feature a total prize pool of INR 1,00,00,000 split between several mobile titles that are yet to be announced.

Apart from these tournaments, Skyesports Tri-Series which was announced to take place as a LAN event for Valorant in Dubai last year, will be facing a delay. According to the organizers, it will happen sometime later in 2022.

Additionally, Skyesports has also dropped a hint regarding an exciting announcement that they shall reveal after the Valorant Champions Tour 2022: Stage 1. It might be something related to Valorant or maybe another big tournament for the South Asian and Southeast Asian countries?
