After a lot of anticipation, popular Indian esports organizations S8UL Esports and Global Esports (GE) have announced a strategic partnership with the aim of developing the Valorant ecosystem in India, as they have come together to pool their PC Gaming, esports, and content expertise. This partnership also marks S8UL Esports’ entry into competitive Valorant. As a part of this partnership, S8UL Esports and Global Esports will represent India together in the Valorant 2023 tournament in São Paulo.

S8UL Esports and Global Esports partner up for a strategic alliance

Global Esports is one of the oldest Indian esports organizations and was one of the first Indian esports organizations to step into Valorant esports back in 2020. Since then, the organization has maintained its position among the top Valorant teams in the country, as well as in South Asia. In September 2022, Global Esports became the only Indian esports organization to secure a slot in Riot Games’ Valorant franchise league - Valorant Champions Tour (VCT).

S8UL Esports rose to prominence in 2019 with its PUBG Mobile team, which was led by popular PUBG Mobile content creator Naman “MortaL” Mathur. The organization saw massive success over the following years. Although the organization was already well-known, it gained significant recognition across the globe after it won the “Content Group of the Year’” award at the Esports Awards 2022, defeating global sensations from the industry, including the likes of 100 Thieves, FaZe Clan, OTK, G4TV, Tribo Gaules, etc.

Since the ban of Battlegrounds Mobile India, the Indian Gaming Industry has now become less dominated by a single title, and different titles are starting to make their presence felt in the country. This strategic alliance will leverage the strengths of both organizations and aim to create opportunities for budding Valorant players and develop the esports scene in India.

Furthermore, Global Esports will also play in the upcoming inaugural tournament of the Valorant 2023 season, VCT 2023 LOCK//IN São Paulo, in collaboration with S8UL Esports.

Commenting on the collaboration, S8UL Esports’ co-owner Lokesh “Goldy” Jain said, “With what GE has already achieved in PC gaming combined with what we have done in mobile gaming and gaming content between 8bit, Soul & S8UL, this collab makes us quite a force in the industry. With this, our shared aim is to scale new heights, especially for Valorant in India, which includes expanding possibilities for our players and bringing our teams and content under one umbrella. Our goal is to put India on the world map and make it the hub for everything Gaming & Esports.”

Dr. Rushindra Sinha, the CEO of Global Esports, said, “We are thrilled to be joining forces with S8UL to create even more unexpected connections and give our audiences authentic and memorable esports experiences like never before. This partnership will help us achieve our shared vision of creating a thriving and supportive gaming community in India.”

The S8UL Esports and Global Esports collaboration could arguably be one of the most significant collaborations in the Indian esports ecosystem so far. Given the history of both organizations, this collaboration has the potential to boost the Indian esports ecosystem. It will be exciting to see what the future holds for these two organizations.
