Moistcr1tikal’s Esports Organization ‘Moist Esports’ Enters Competitive Apex Legends

Popular content creator Charles “Moistcr1tikal” White Jr.’s esports organization ‘Moist Esports’ has officially signed Team Burger. The Australian free agent squad made waves this year at the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Championship. The team made it to the Split Two playoffs despite being a free agent team and it qualified for the world championship, where it ended in 17th place. The team will now be representing Moist Esports in the 2023 ALGS circuit.

The Australian free agent team has finally found a home

Team Burger received a lot of fan support thanks to the players’ rock-solid performances at the Stockholm LAN earlier this year. Team Burger ended in 9th place, beating out a lot of bigger and more established teams. Matthew “Emtee” Trengrove, Ben “Wxltzy” Walton, and Joshua “Jaro” Green qualified for the world championships and brought a lot of attention to the Asia-Pacific South circuit, which was largely underestimated up until the LAN events this year.

Team Burger’s popularity soared during this year’s LAN events and a fan group was formed that called itself “The Burger Brigade.” Apex Legends fans supported the free agent team by creating customized merchandise for the team including official jerseys.

The Apex Legends community has been very supportive of its creators and esports players over the years. Before the world championship, the community helped a number of teams pay for travel and accommodation to the LAN event after EA initially stated that it would not be covering expenses for all teams.

Moist Esports was started as Moistcr1tikal’s foray into esports. The organization entered the fighting games community (FGC) with teams in Guilty Gear Strive, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The team branched out to Rocket League and is now a part of Apex Legends.

Moist Esports will make its debut in Apex Legends during year three of the Apex Legends Global Series which is set to commence in the coming months. Just like last year there will be two splits leading up to international LAN events, the last chance qualifiers and the world championship. Following the signing of Team Burger, a lot of fans have been asking Moist Esports to sign a CS:GO team but Moistcr1tikal has not expressed any interest yet.
