The VCT Masters Reykjavík is set to conclude tonight and it will be Sentinels and Fnatic going head to head against each other for the second time in the event. Sentinels previously knocked Fnatic out of the upper bracket on May 26 in a 2-0 victory. Fnatic managed to make its way to the grand finals from the upper bracket after securing wins against X10 Esports, Version 1, Team Liquid, and NUTURN Gaming. The team will be looking to get revenge at the grand finals of the Valorant Champions Tour Masters: Reykjavík finals tonight. Sentinels has been unstoppable throughout the event with no losses on record and will be looking to take the Masters title home.
Sentinels was among the top Valorant teams in North America but the team fell short on numerous occasions. It failed to win at the First Strike North America playoffs. The team also fell short at the America Stage 1 Challengers 2 against Team Envy. The team’s star player Sinatraa was suspended indefinitely from the roster by Riot Games due to sexual assault allegations and he will be unable to return to competitive play before September 2021.
Sentinels ended up borrowing TenZ from Cloud9, and they have been unstoppable in the Valorant Champions Tour ever since. The team won Stage 1 Masters, Stage 2 Challengers 2 and they will be looking to end their run at the Masters Reykjavík even with no losses on the record.
Sentinels Roster:
After being knocked out 0-2 at the hands of Sentinels earlier in the event, Fnatic has been unstoppable. The team made it back to contention for the VCT Masters Reykjavík title and will be looking to pull off a victory against tournament favorites Sentinels. The Fnatic roster had been overly reliant on Derke’s performances but despite the star player not being at the top of the leaderboard, the team managed to secure a 2-1 win over NUTURN Gaming.
The finals will see the best North American Valorant team taking on the best European Valorant team, and while Sentinels has been unstoppable, Fnatic will be looking to avenge its defeat earlier in the event. If Fnatic manages to win the finals, it will become the first team to not just beat Sentinels, but to even take one map off the North American team.
Fnatic Roster:
Fans can catch the finals on May 30 (Sunday) at 5 PM GMT / 1 AM SGT / 10:30 PM IST
