Ghost was first seen in the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare title and has been featured in every game in the Modern Warfare series since then. In the 2009 edition of Modern Warfare 2, the main protagonist Roach and Ghost are betrayed by General Shepherd close to the end of the game. Parodies of that iconic moment were posted hundreds of thousands of times over the years.
