Highlights
Ukrainian-based organization B8 Esports have announced that its Dota 2 roster will be competing in the North American DPC for 2023.
The organization has acquired Wildcard Gaming’s DPC slot in the first division of the NA DPC regional league.
The roster consists of StoneBank, Dendi, Funn1k, MoOz & Lodine.

With the deadline for roster registration approaching the final twelve hours, many teams have begun to announce their final rosters for the upcoming season. However, other organizations have also announced that it would be investing in other regions. This includes B8 Esports, which has revealed that its Dota 2 roster will be relocating to North America for the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season.

The Ukrainian-based organization was founded by popular community figure & TI1 (The International 2011) winner Danil "Dendi" Ishutin back in 2020. However, its Dota 2 roster has had marginal success in the Dota 2 competitive scene.

Dendi’s B8 Esports relocates to NA as it announces new roster

“B8 Dota 2 roster is going to be competing in the NA DPC 2023. Thank you everybody for your continued support. See you in DPC. We will give our all.” B8 Esports announced its entry into the North American scene with its new roster.

B8 Esports’ finalized roster for the 2022/2023 DPC season has been confirmed as the following:-

  1. Denis "StoneBank" Korzh

  2. Danil "Dendi" Ishutin

  3. Gleb "Funn1k" Lipatnikov

  4. Joel "MoOz" Ozambela

  5. Oleg "Lodine" Kvasha

Following the organization’s worst competitive season up to date in the Eastern European (EEU) scene, B8 Esports has decided to relocate to the North American (NA) Dota as it looks to make a statement with its newest roster. Additionally, the organization has acquired Wildcard Gaming’s DPC slot in the first division of the NA DPC league for the upcoming season according to Valve’s official team registration website.

StoneBank spent the last competitive season with Team Dogchamp in NA as its carry player, while Lodine spent the 2021/2022 season with DGG Esports in the second division of the Western European (WEU) DPC.

The duo of Dendi and Funn1k were previously teammates in Natus Vincere (NAVI) from 2013-2015, however Funn1k left NAVI after The International 2015 (TI5) as he joined Team Empire in 2016 while Dendi would stay with the organization until 2019, where he would go on to form his own organization, B8 Esports.

MoOz would be the only player in the roster that would be from the Americas region, as the Peruvian support player completes the lineup for 2023. MoOz previously spent the last competitive season with Thunder Predator, however ever since The International 2021 (TI10) MoOz found himself jumping between teams in the South American (SA) region in 2022.

B8 Esports will be competing in the first division of the NA DPC league for the upcoming season. However, can the team prove its mettle against TSM and the former EG roster in the North American region?
