23Savage Has Been Removed From Fnatic’s Roster

Published On:

Roughly 11 months after announcing its new Dota 2 roster after the conclusion of TI9, Fnatic has undergone its first roster change. Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon has been removed from Fnatic’s Dota 2 roster.

23savage Removed From Fnatic Roster

The Dota 2 Majors and Minors Registration page shows that 23savage was removed from Fnatic’s roster earlier today.

This confirms that the young Thai carry who competed with the core of Fnatic for almost a year, will no longer play with the organization. To replace 23savage, Fnatic is likely bringing in Filipino carry Marc Polo Luis "Raven" Fausto who was released by Geek Fam earlier today.

23savage’s Journey With Fnatic

23savage joined Fnatic in September 2019 alongside Kam “Moon” Boon Seng. Since then the player became an integral part of their lineup, carrying them to multiple victories at LAN events and online tournaments.

This includes a winning streak which saw Fnatic win five tournaments in a row, beginning from February 2020.

Unfortunately, the team has recently underperformed relative to the lofty Fnatic standards. The team only managed to secure a 3rd place finish at the BTS Pro Series Season 2: Southeast Asia and a 2nd place finish at the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League. Perhaps this instigated this roster change.

Overall, 23savage managed to win over $41,800 in prize winnings (assuming a 5-way split with the team) in his tenure with Fnatic.

At the time of writing, neither Fnatic nor 23savage has released a statement about this matter.
