MidOne Makes Fun of all the 10k MMR Players

Published On:
  • MidOne says that no 10k MMR player has won a TI

  • Factually incorrect since SumaiL, a 10k MMR player, won TI5

  • Showcases the importance of teamwork, chemistry and strategy in the overall game

Fifteen players have managed to get themselves to 10k MMR so far. This includes players from all 6 regions, who have all clawed and fought their way into getting this ridiculous number. OG’s offlaner Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng is one of those players. But that didn’t stop him from mocking 10k MMR players.

MidOne's Tweet

While this is true for the majority of the 10k MMR club, this statement is factually incorrect. There is, in fact, one player from this exclusive who has actually won a TI. We are talking about MidOne’s fellow teammate Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan of course who won The International 5 with Evil Geniuses.

But the fact that there are so few 10k MMR players who have won a TI shows that sheer individual skill is simply not enough to win the biggest Dota 2 tournament each year. Team Work, chemistry and team strategy are far more important aspects than simply having ultra-skilled players in each role.
