Earlier yesterday, Chaos E.C. announced that they are releasing their roster. This is perhaps the first team that has been released due to the suspended Dota Pro Circuit, caused by the Coronavirus Pandemic.

The organization’s CEO, Greg Laird made a statement detailing the reasons on why they had to let go of their Dota 2 roster.

“This is not a decision we made lightly, but during these uncertain times and with the DPC circuit suspended it is impossible for us to justify the cost of a Dota 2 team at this time. The world is an unprecedented situation and it is necessary for us to focus our efforts into a few key current & upcoming projects for the long term success of the organization.”

The team managed to win $72,500 USD in prize money with the organization, the majority of which can be chalked up to their second-place finish at the DOTA Summit 11 Minor.

Unfortunately, this leaves the 5 former players of Chaos E.C. without a sponsor for the time being.

The former Chaos E.C. Dota 2 lineup featured:

  • Yawar “YawaR” Hassan

  • Quinn “CCnC” Callahan

  • Arif “MSS” Anwar

  • Malthe “Biver” Winther

  • Avery “SVG” Silverman

Manager: Jack “KBBQ” Chen
