Official: Team Secret will not undergo any roster changes

Published On:

After rumours about Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen replacing Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng in Team Secret surfaced, Team Secret have finally decided to confirm their roster for the upcoming season. They released a statement on their website confirming that Team Secret "have no changes to announce at this moment in time"

The team also stated that they will be skipping the first Major of the season scheduled to be held in Chengdu, in order to let their players recuperate. Team Secret will make their return to competitive Dota at the ONE Esports DotA 2 World Pro Invitational Singapore in December.

So this confirms that Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen has not joined Team Secret at the moment. However, the fact remains that both the player and the team will be on a hiatus till the Second Major of the season. The phrasing of this statement, "We have no changes to announce at this moment in time" also indicates that there is still potential for roster changes later in the season.

Perhaps the roster change will take place before both parties take the field in the Second Major of the 2019/20 DPC season.
