Solo to captain Virtus.pro, hints at major Dota 2 roster changes

Published On:

In an Instagram post, Alexey "Solo" Berezin announced that he will be returning to the position of captain of the Virtus.pro Dota 2 roster while hinting at major changes to the team.

The team ended the previous season with a 9th-12th place finish at The International 9 after suffering consecutive 2-0 losses to two Chinese teams at the Main Event. PSG.LGD knocked them down to the lower bracket where they were eliminated by Royal Never Give Up.

Unconfirmed rumours via V1lat's podcast suggested that VP was due to undergo drastic changes with Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev and Pavel "9pasha" Khvastunov likely to leave the team. Nothing in Solo's latest post confirms this just yet however it's safe to assume that the roster will likely undergo some changes for the DPC 19-20 season.

Earlier today, Fnatic announced their new roster for the season with 23savage and Moon replacing Abed and Dubu. It looks like the post TI9 roster shuffles are finally beginning to unfold!
