PGL Stockholm Major Legends Stage Beats Berlin Major Finals Peak Viewership

The PGL Major Stockholm 2021 is well into its third day of the Legends Stage, slowly closing in on the top eight teams for the Playoffs. Despite all the minor production-side issues and Valve cracking down with strict rules towards the coaches, the first Major in more than two years has managed to attract a lot of eyeballs.

When it come to peak viewership, PGL Major Stockholm 2021 with a peak of 972,892 viewers on the second day of the Legends Stage has already managed to surpass StarLadder Berlin Major 2019's peak of 836,716 viewers witnessed during the Grand Finals.

This shows how eagerly the community was waiting for the return of the Majors, the tournament's viewership is likely to increase during the Champions Stage which will be taking place in front of a live audience at Avicii Arena, Sweden.

PGL Stockholm Major 2021 surpasses StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 in viewership metrics

The Stockholm Major which started on 26th October, has witnessed some top-notch Counter-Strike action which has attracted a lot of viewers as CS:GO returns to a proper LAN tournament with live audience.

Talking about viewership, the Challengers Stage of the PGL Stockholm Major 2021 had managed to surpass that of the StarLadder Berlin Major 2019.

On the first day itself, Stockholm Major had registered a peak of 667,501 viewers which was about 53% more than the overall peak viewership achieved by the Berlin Major during its entire Challengers Stage, 432,492 viewers.

The average viewership of the entire Challengers Stage when compared between the two tournaments places Stockholm Major above Berlin Major by almost 40%, which is a difference of about 125,630 viewers.

However, the biggest difference was noticed during the Legends Stage of the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 where a peak of 972,892 viewers was registered on 1st Nov 2021. This is more than that of the entire StarLadder Berlin Major 2019, which had registered a peak of 836,716 viewers during the grand finals between Astralis and AVANGAR.

With such viewership numbers being achieved by PGL Major Stockholm 2021 across its Challengers and Legends Stages, the community is already excited about how well the Playoffs or the Champions Stage is going to perform.
