Team Liquid is fighting hard at the ongoing BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022 having reached the finals of the gauntlet stage after beating NIP with a clean '2-0' scoreline.
Since the arrival of Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis, the team has turned over a new leaf, making it all the way to the playoffs of IEM Cologne 2022 and now just one win away from qualifying for the BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022.
Despite his contributions and all the appreciation he has received from members of Team Liquid, YEKINDAR has still not been signed permanently by the North American organization.
In a recent interview with HLTV, Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, the longest-standing player on the current active roster spoke about the Latvian's future with Liquid.
The community was shocked when Team Liquid announced YEKINDAR as a stand-in for the side during the currently ongoing BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022. They expected him to feature as a permanent part of the team but to their surprise he would be appearing as a temporary player for second tournament in a row.
At that point in time, Steve "jokasteve" Perino - General Manager for Team Liquid, had commented that the organization was trying its best to work on a good long-term deal for signing YEKINDAR as a permanent part of its active CS:GO roster and they would hopefully have something positive soon.

Since then nothing has changed as Liquid continues to fight its way through to BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022, just one win away from qualifying to the next stage.
Commenting on the situation regarding YEKINDAR's future with the team, EliGE expressed that the team was not thinking about that at this point in time and everyone is pretty relaxed about it.
"Usually whenever we need a signing that can really help us as a team, Liquid always ends up making it work in whatever way it is," said EliGE, "I don't really mind too much about it and I think that we'll be fine in the end."
Having complete confidence in the organization that they will make it work no matter what, the longest serving player in Team Liquid who has been with them since March 2015 is looking forward to their match against Heroic later today.
